Install let's encrypt drives me nuts... :(

Post by sibyllin » Wed Feb 12, 2020 12:33 pm

Hello,

for my company I'm setting up Onlyoffice Enterprise, on a debian 10 server, without docker installation.
I try to install before with docker, but the server won't restart Onlyoffice after a reboot.
Now the server is running fine, so I try to set up let's encrypt.
Unfortunately every time the setup doesn't work. I receive a 502 bad gateway error or I can't access my server anymore. Why is this happening?

This is the way I do it.

TEST 01:
1. certbot installation

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install certbot python-certbot-nginx
sudo certbot --nginx
I give my mail and my subdomain.domain.com

Test 02:
1. certbot installation

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install certbot python-certbot-nginx
2. Launching the script

Code: Select all

bash /var/www/onlyoffice/Tools/letsencrypt.sh mysubdomain.domain.com
Can someone help me and tell me step by step how to set up https with let's encrypt?

Thanks in advance

Hello sibyllin.
At first glance, command sudo certbot --nginx from the test 01 edited your Nginx config file. Please read the description of the command on certbot page. As a result error 502 occurred. Test 02 seems to be performed incorrectly, you don't need to install certbot, as the script is already present on the server in folder /var/www/onlyoffice/Tools/.

We recommed you to make “clean” installation of ONLYOFFICE Enterprise Edition and run script bash /var/www/onlyoffice/Tools/letsencrypt.sh yourdomain.com as per our guide under this link (https://helpcenter.onlyoffice.com/serve ... https.aspx )

By the way, Enterprise Edition is a commercial solution. We recommend you to contact our support team via helpdesk to get prompt replies to your requests:
