Configure timeout for inactivity

Post by maartengh » Mon Feb 03, 2020 2:04 pm

My ONLYOFFICE instance only needs a few minutes of inactivity before it says "This document has not been edited for quite a long time. Please reload the page." Is it possible to configure this timeout, so I can increase it?

Hello maartengh,

Yes, you can do that in /etc/onlyoffice/documentserver/default.json. The required parameter is called sessionidle.

"sessionidle": "1d" will set it to 1 day, "sessionidle": "1h" to 1 hour and so on. Don't forget to restart Document Server services after changing the config supervisorctl restart all.

When I open from the mobile web browser, the session closes very soon and I have to reload the page. Could I change this from here? or is it a cell phone problem?

Hello santre,

Please provide some additional info:
1. What version of the Document Server are you using?
2. Is the issue reproduced when opening the editors from your desktop as well?
3. What error message do you see in the mobile web browser?
