Document Builder not saving file

Post by Leboudin » Tue Oct 16, 2018 9:05 am

Hi there!

I've tried document builder version 4.4.1 on Ubuntu 16.04, using the sample1.docbuilder provided, it didn't save the docx file and gave no error message. (The example docbuilder script on document builder introduction page didnt work neither.)

I tried sevaral times on my machine and docker, and here is shell history inside a new Ubuntu:16.04 (not slim) docker:

Code: Select all

    1  apt update
    2  apt install sudo wget && wget http://download.onlyoffice.com/install/desktop/docbuilder/documentbuilder-x64.tar.gz && sudo mkdir -p /var/www/documentbuilder
    3  ls
    4  tar -zxf documentbuilder-x64.tar.gz -C /var/www/documentbuilder/
    5  sudo apt-get install libstdc++6 libcurl3-gnutls libc6 libxml2 libcurl3 fonts-dejavu fonts-opensymbol
    6  sudo apt-get install fonts-liberation ttf-mscorefonts-installer fonts-crosextra-carlito
    7  cd /var/www/documentbuilder/documentbuilder-4.4.1/
    8  ./samples.sh
    9  ls ./TESTFILES/
During step 6 running 'samples.sh', I got the following messages where error messages I believe is due to sample1 didnt save the result file.

Code: Select all

run ./samples/sample1.docbuilder...
run ./samples/sample2.docbuilder...
error (command): file not opened!
run ./samples/sample3.docbuilder...
error (save): file not opened!
run ./samples/sample4.docbuilder...
run ./samples/sample6.docbuilder...
run ./samples/sample7.docbuilder...
error (command): file not opened!
run ./samples/sample8.docbuilder...
error (command): file not opened!
Could anyone help please? Thanks a lot!

Hello Leboudin!
There should be a path in your script where Docbuilder would save a doc.
