Placeholders in e-mail templates

Hi,
I really like the ability to save different mail templates. What would complete this feature would be the possibility to include placeholders for (custom) fields of CRM contacts (i.e. name, title, adress, …).

I think this is a nice idea and we will discuss it.
Please provide us with more details. Describe a detailed scenario, what fields you would like to add, what is indicated in them. You can supplement the scenario with screenshots and a schematic representation of how it should ideally look.

Hi Alexandre,
I'd like to send, for example, event invitations to a group of people (from a template, but with the opportunity to change and edit each email individualy). We have created custom fields within the contact profiles with event dates and event types.
I'd like to be able to send emails like…
"Dear $name, please join us on $event_date for $event_name."
It would be great if you could drop the value of a custom field of the contact that is linked to the email adress into at the currenct cursor position in an email. In the mail editor there could just be a drop-down menu with all available custom fields.
Just an idea.

Thank you for the data and your opinion on possible improvement. We added your idea to internal tracklist. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the exact timeframe for the implementation of this feature.
