Installation on CentOS server

Post by patoshea » Sun Sep 13, 2020 11:15 pm

Hi all!
I'm a total newbie and I'm trying to figure out how to install Onlyoffice on my CentOS VPS.
I'm using control panel and I can't say that I have strong command line skills, so have to rely on the panel tools.
I have two web sites hosted on this VPS and they run on MySQL. Should I switch to PostgreSQL using the control panel to install Onlyoffice? Or should I just forget about the panel and hosted websites and install PostgreSQL for Onlyoffice independently from control panel/websites?
I've read through this ( ... entos.aspx) but I'm still not sure

Hello patoshea,

Sorry for the late reply.

Document Server requires PostgreSQL. We strongly recommend installing the Document Server on clean machines with no other applications in order to avoid port/dependency conflicts. If you only have one server at your disposal, please consider Docker installation of the Document Server: ... ation.aspx
