Inactive Users in Edit Mode

I have users that will open a document while editing it and then not close the document leaving it open till tomorrow. Is there a timeout or inactivity setting so I can drop them therefor sending the callback to save the edited document back to the original server. Any other suggestions to prevent people from staying in a document forever?

We plan to implement force closing sessions but later. There is no timeout of user's inactivity.
