Owncloud Configuration

Post by bullfroghrr » Mon Feb 06, 2017 10:38 pm

I don't know if this is the right place for this but I installed OnlyOffice using docker on to a second server, and enabled the app in Owncloud, I entered the ip address of the server that hosts OnlyOffice in the admin portion of owncloud, however when I try to open a document from within Owncloud I get a blank page with "ONLYOFFICE app not configured. Please contact admin" any help would be appreciated thank you.

Hello bullfroghrr!
Please inform us step by step what you did to tie owncloud to OO. Maybe you didn't specify protoсol?
What kind of OnlyOffice edition did you install Community or Enterprise?

I've similar situation.
In my local network works fine, and open, create and save all documents correctly.
But when I connect from intenet the owncloud webpage sais: "ONLYOFFICE app not configured. Please contact admin".
I'm working with NAT router (maybe thats can be the problem).

I don't want to publish the onlyoffice server to internet.

How can i do it?

Thanks,

Hello angelm!
To check if the connection is OK between servers you should enter in browser (from browser's side)
http://AddressDocumentServer/web-apps/a ... nts/api.js
If the connection is wrong you'll get "ONLYOFFICE app not configured. Please contact admin"
If your Owncloud Server works correctly with OO in your network, but it doesn't work from internet try to get access to the Owncloud Server with external ip or domain.
Check the settings of OwnCloud Server

Hello angelm!
If you don't want to publish the onlyoffice server to internet than your Owncloud server should be like proxy server for onlyoffice server. Your browser should have access to onlyoffice server.

I think the problem is the NAT configuration.
The static IP address have the port 443 connected to the owncloud server.
Can i put the onlyoffice server in another port than 443?
or
Can you inform me another way to make a proxy in the owncloud server?

Thanks a lot...

Unfortunately there is no way to run Document Server on custom ports.
Or you can use external ip for Document server.
