Did 5.0 bring with it a new look?

Post by RKD-IT » Tue Nov 14, 2017 3:04 pm

Maybe I am mistaken, but wasn't the update to Document Server 5.0 supposed to be different looking? Kinda like MS OFfice with tabs for navigation?

I have a Nextcloud implementation with the integration app (1.1.5) and a brand new install of OnlyOffice document server 5.0.3. It is running great but when I look at the appearance of 5.0.3 on the OnlyOffice website it looks very different.

THe onlyoffice on the following link:

Look different than the look I am still experiencing here: (pulled this image from Google images)

If you do not want to click on an external link above, then you can refer to any 4.X.X version or below. There are no tabs at the top for File, Home, Insert, Plugins

Is this because I am using 5.0.3 as a nextcloud integration and not via OnlyOFfice Community server?

Hello RKD-IT,

If you use the opensource version, it's normal because actually the new interface is only for for commercial versions.

see this link : http://www.onlyoffice.com/blog/2017/11/ ... licensing/
At present a new tabbed interface is available for commercial versions only. For open source users we have preserved our simple interface but give access to almost all new features, including pivot tables for viewing and 69 new formulas in spreadsheets, notes in presentations, new plugins in documents, and a lot of improvements and bug fixes.
