PostgreSQL or MySQL

Post by wschaft » Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:07 am

According to the installation instructions at ... entos.aspx, PostgreSQL seems to be a requirement.
However, we currently have a MariaDB Galera cluster and in the onlyoffice-documentserver package are also mysql references.

We used this script to create a MySQL database: /var/www/onlyoffice/documentserver/server/schema/mysql/createdb.sql
And changed the sql type to "mysql" in the configuration file (/etc/onlyoffice/documentserver/default.json).

Everything seems to work.

So, is PostgreSQL really necessary?

Hello wschaft!

Yes it must be PostgreSQL for the Document Server. Earlier i have made a mistake. It's not critical to use MariaDB for the Community Server.
