Hello,

So far I have an assumption of your file not being stored on server at all.

So, would you please send us the errors from the Console (F12 in browser) with the error appearing when the file is saved and logs from the Document server.

Hello Dean,

There is no error when I save. I can save the file and when I open it again everything is well saved. But on the server I don't see any modification of the file (only one version of the file in file_X). And when I try to move the file to another location within the community server, only the original file is moved (so without any modification).

Which one of the log file would you need?

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

Christopher.

We need logfiles from the /var/log/onlyoffice which refer to the document server (DocService). Also we need a .har file from the browser appearing when the document is saved.

It looks like the system will flush its cache to the new version within 10 seconds after editing.
You have to close the editor's tab to close the editor. Then the flush will write a new version to the filesystem.

I'm not an expert and never use onlyoffice before but if you look at the document sever database it has a table called files_file with fields called `changes`. I think every time you call the api to load the document by `id` it assembles the latest version from the database. So yes you don't see the updated files on the server but you see the original file as starting point for assembly.

Hello Rom,

Changes are stored in DS cache & database only for the time of editing and some time after that (default cache lifetime - 24h, configurable in default.json). If you use the same key to open a file and it is still in cache, it will be opened from cache. If you have any questions, please let me know.
