email integration - project/task update per email?

I am trying to find out if there is functionality to update projects/tasks by replying to notification emails.
it seems it"s not implemented, but somehow I cannot find clear information on it. if somebody could confirm it, would be greatly appreciated.

The functionality doesn't exist at the moment, I'm afraid. Could you describe how you would like it to work exactly? That would help us potentially implement it in the future.
