Spreadsheet hide "Cell settings" by default

Post by sisim » Fri Jul 16, 2021 9:59 am

When I open a spreadsheet, it shows by default the "Cell settings" ribbon on the right. This takes a lot of space and it's not necessary most of the time.

Would it be possible to hide it by default?

Thanks!

Hello sisim.
Please try this feature and let us know the result: https://api.onlyoffice.com/editors/conf ... eRightMenu

Hello Alexandre,

Thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure to understand how to change these parameters: is there a config file that I should edit? Could you please share the path? I don't find it in the documentation.

Also, I'm using OO (docker) with Nextcloud: are these parameters accessible?

Thanks!

What I have tried is the following:
1. Go within the docker container:

Code: Select all

sudo docker exec -it DOCKER-ID /bin/bash
2. Edit the config file:

Code: Select all

nano /etc/onlyoffice/documentserver/default.json
3. Add the line:

Code: Select all

"hideRightMenu": true,
4. Restart the services:

Code: Select all

supervisorctl restart all
5. Open the spreadsheet: the right menu is still there :(

Would you have an idea?

I continue investigating :D

I have understood now that the config file can be viewed under https://mydomain.com/web-apps/apps/api/documents/api.js

(by the way, that's a good way to see which version of OnlyOffice is running: I did not find a proper way before)

But I still don't understand how to edit this file: would anybody know the path under a Nextcloud environment?

Oh, now I found it

It is within the container, under

Code: Select all

/var/www/onlyoffice/documentserver/web-apps/apps/api/documents/api.js
But if I edit this document, I don't see the result (it's not reflected) in https://mydomain.com/web-apps/apps/api/documents/api.js
Does anybody have an idea?

Besides, the whole document is commented out: is it possible to use it within a Nextcloud installation?

Hello sisim.
Sorry if I misled you. The advice that I gave you initially is a working one. But it is applicable only if you independently configure the integration with some storage. In your scenario, this is not possible, because you are already using ONLYOFFICE connector. In your scenario this connector is responsible for opening the file (starting the initialization file) and it’s not possible to change its parameters.

Thank you! I guess that this connector will enable more parameters in the future, I'll wait for it.

Thanks again for your support!
