Hi,

I'm planning to upgrade my Community Edition version to 18.10.255 from 18.04.200 (because pdf files are not shown). But I cannot find any information above version 9.

Could you please suggest me some documentation for this upgrade?

Thanks for your support,

Hello,

On Windows, components of ONLYOFFICE Community Edition (Community Server and Document Server) can be installed over the existing installation. New versions can be downloaded here:
Document Server
Community Server
Or you can also run the Community Edition installer, it will do the same - remove the current versions of components and install the new ones.

Thank you for your response.

I used the community edition installation file (ONLYOFFICE_Community_Edition_Win-install.v18.10.255.exe) for the upgrade.

The upgrade is completed without a problem. But my problems still continue.

The documents are not shown correctly.

* The images/pictures in the Office documents are showing as a red rectangle with x inside of it. The texts and fonts are correct.
* The pdf files cant readable. No images or no texts are showing.
If I download these files to local disk they are readable without a problem.

In this situation, we can't use OnlyOffice better than a private Gdrive functionality.

I can't find any information on the forum. Could you please show me a way to understand the problem and solve them.

Thank for your support,
KB

Hello,

What are the currently installed versions of ONLYOFFICE components? (Community and Document Servers)

Hi Carl,

I installed from this file ONLYOFFICE_Community_Edition_Win-install.v18.10.255.exe.
In addition, when I checked out "About this program" the version is 9.6.632

Is there any location to check the number?

Thanks

Hello,

You can check the version numbers in Windows Control Panel. BTW, we have just released new Community Server 10.0, I'd recommend you to use an updated installer:

Hi,

I installed the file you suggested. The office documents still have a red rectangle with X and the pictures don't appear. I added a sample page pictures.

PDF files were blank on the screen before the new installation and they give the following error after installation.

Connection is lost. You can still view the document, but will not be able to download or print until the connection restored.

The document service configuration as follows.
Document Editing Service Address : /ds-vpath/
Document Service address for requests from the Community Server : http://localhost:8083/
Community Server address for requests from the Document Service : http://localhost/

I can't be sure what I'm doing wrong. If there is any log file I want to share with you if you give me the file location.

Thanks for your support
