Re: how to find calendar id?

Hi, yes this worked.

It would be useful if the API documentation included this. :)

Thanks,
Charles

Re: token is good for a year; not get new token every time?

Hi Carl,

That means that API session tokens are treated like users.

I will have to build logic to retain the token over a period of time. Maybe renew every 9 months or something.

Thanks,
Charles

Re: calendar sharing bug

I determined that the recipients of the shared calendar have to turn on the calendar in their "other calendar" configuration to see the shared calendar. From there it behaves as expected.

This is different from a shared event that shows up automatically.

Thanks,
Charles

how to find calendar id?

Hello, I need to be able to query two specific calendars via the API, and be able to update one of them to add new events. The calendars won't belong to the user API is running under. However the user has full access (I made an API user with an unusable password). The API documentation seems a bit a...

token is good for a year; not get new token every time?

Hello, I was surprised to find the token I received from authentication to be good for a year! (The documentation didn't say how long it would be.) In other APIs I've worked with, the token doesn't last very long, so I normally just get a new token every time. If I'm creating a process that will use...

Link preparation failed for CalDAV

I'm resurrecting this, as I'm also getting the "Link preparation failed for CalDAV" error. As far as I know I'm using the latest community edition. I've tried adding the custom domain to no avail. The logs show this: 2021-04-15 09:01:28,651 ERROR [3041] ASC.Calendar - System.Net.WebException: The re...

paste without formatting feature

Hello, it'd be nice to be able to "paste without formatting" in the spreadsheet and document editors. Right now you can only paste with the source formatting, which tends to create some really ugly pastes. :)

Thanks,
Charles

calendar sharing feature

Hello, it would be nice if a calendar could be shared in a manner where the shared users only see the availability, but not the details. The google calendar has this functionality, and it's very handy to allow others to know you aren't available without sharing the details of the event. Thanks, Char...

calendar sharing bug

Hello, it appears that "sharing your calendar" doesn't accomplish anything. Individual events on the calendar still have to be manually shared for the shared users to see it.

Using community edition of workspace.

how to move rows in a spreadsheet

Hello, I seem to be missing how to move rows in a spreadsheet. In Excel, I can select a row, and then insert it above an existing row. In appears in OO that I have to insert a blank row first, then I cut the row, paste it in the old spot, and delete the now empty row where the row used to be. (Two e...
