How to Renew letsencrypt SSL on Docker Community/Doc Server

Postby nickt » Mon Jun 18, 2018 8:33 pm

Hello,

I have a community server and document server running with docker. It was running fine with SSL, but the certificate expired last night. I was under the impression it's supposed to renew automatically, but it did not.

How can I renew the certificate and ensure that it does renew automatically?

Thanks!

Hello nickt!
You can execute following commands in the Community Server container
certbot renew --dry-run - to test certbot
certbot renew - to renew ssl certs

sorry to pick up this old thread. I have the same problem, but when I do this I get a lot of errors:
/usr/bin/certbot: line 3: __requires__: command not found
/usr/bin/certbot: line 4: import: command not found
/usr/bin/certbot: line 5: import: command not found
/usr/bin/certbot: line 6: from: command not found
/usr/bin/certbot: certbot: line 9: syntax error near unexpected token `('
/usr/bin/certbot: certbot: line 9: ` sys.argv[0] = re.sub(r'(-script\.pyw?|\.exe)?$', '', sys.argv[0])'
Any idea, what's going wrong here?
