Log file for failed login attemps

Postby randomstranger » Sat Apr 21, 2018 11:26 am

Hello!

Where does the Community Server store the log file(s) for failed login attempts? I've gone through both /var/log/onlyoffice and /var/log/nginx, but couldn't find anything.

Thx

Is there a problem?
Log files are in /var/log/onlyoffice

Hi Maxim

Yes, all the log files are indeed in /var/log/onlyoffice, I just can't figure out which log file (there are quite a few!) is storing failed login attempts. I've gone through nginx.error.log which is empty, access.log which doesn't seem to contain anything regarding failed login attempts...any ideas?

Login actions are not loged in logs. There is Login History in the Control Panel. These data downloads from database

Hello Maxim

That's what I thought. Basically, the login history is only available for the Enterprise version, am I correct? The reason I'm asking is because I'd like to harden the security a bit with fail2ban, but in order to set it up I'd have to point it to the appropriate log file (logging failed login attempts). Could this be implemented for the Community Server?

Cheers
