Document Server - Files missing after install

Postby AMC » Fri Mar 23, 2018 5:08 pm

Hello,

I wish to install the last OnlyOffice Document Server (V5) on my local windows server.

I've downloaded and installed the solution following this documentation : https://helpcenter.onlyoffice.com/serve ... -apps.aspx. If I understand, I'm supposed to have a IIS website with all the elements to run Document Server, and create connexions to it in the .NET C# example website using "settings.config" (by entering the correct path on files.docservice.url.api; files.docservice.url.converter...).

However, I can't find these files (like "ConvertService.ashx") on my server, and thereby I can't deploy the solution on the website. Did the installation of Document Server was successful (no error messages) ? If so, where can i find these files, and where do i have to save them on my server to run the solution properly ?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Hello AMC!
So you have downloaded Document Server and .NET (C#) EXAMPLE. You have installed Document server with no errors.
For the ONLYOFFICE Applications example to work properly you need to do the following:
1. Download and extract the Example.zip into a directory selected for it, for instance, C:\OnlyofficeExample
2. Use the settings.config file to change the received authorization key for the document service. The file can be found in the unpacked root folder (C:\OnlyofficeExample\settings.config, in our example). The authorization key is specified in the files.docservice.key field.
3. Run the IIS Manager (C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\InetMgr.exe or Start -> All Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager for Windows Server 2003)
4. Add the unpacked Example to the list of sites with the physical path to the C:\OnlyofficeExample (or the one you selected) folder.
5. Make sure that the user account under which the IIS NetworkService process is executed has the write access rights for the C:\OnlyofficeExample\App_Data folder (this is significant for the IIS later than 6.0).
6. Make the created ONLYOFFICE Applications example available through IP or domain name so that it could be connected from the web by the document service for proper document rendering.
settings.config
Code: Select all
<add key="files.docservice.url.converter" value="https://doc.onlyoffice.com/ConvertService.ashx"/>
<add key="files.docservice.url.api" value="https://doc.onlyoffice.com/web-apps/apps/api/documents/api.js"/>
<add key="files.docservice.url.preloader" value="https://doc.onlyoffice.com/web-apps/apps/api/documents/cache-scripts.html"/>

Here you should put your url, it should look like
Code: Select all
<add key="files.docservice.url.converter" value="https://example.com/ConvertService.ashx"/>

Hi,

thank's for your answer, but I've already several difficulties.

Firstly, how can i generate the "files.docservice.key" ? Is it a licence key ?

Then, I follow your instructions but I don't have a "ConvertService.ashx" file in the Example.zip.
And the Document Server installation don't create this file.
So where can i find this file ?

Thank's for your help.
