Try the fastest and simplest way to install ONLYOFFICE

No Document Editor

Postby landowark » Fri Nov 18, 2016 4:14 am

I'm having a tough time getting the community server to talk to the document server with the docker image. Whenever I try to edit a document all I get is a pop-up message in the tab that says essentially:

"ONLYOFFICEtm is not available. Contacts us at support@onlyoffice"

I followed the install instructions for the docker image except for I had to change some of the ports as they were in use on my server. The port issue is the only thing I can see causing the problem. I'm running MariaDB instead of MySQL, but that should be an issue. Does anyone have any suggestions for installing the docker images using non-standard ports?

Code: Select all
sudo docker network create --driver bridge onlyoffice

sudo docker run --net onlyoffice -i -t -d --restart=always --name onlyoffice-document-server \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/DocumentServer/data:/var/www/onlyoffice/Data \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/DocumentServer/logs:/var/log/onlyoffice \

sudo docker run --net onlyoffice --privileged -i -t -d --restart=always --name onlyoffice-mail-server \
    -p 625:25 -p 143:143 -p 587:587 \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/MailServer/data:/var/vmail \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/MailServer/data/certs:/etc/pki/tls/mailserver \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/MailServer/logs:/var/log \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/MailServer/mysql:/var/lib/mysql \
    -h \

sudo docker run --net onlyoffice -i -t -d --restart=always --name onlyoffice-community-server \
    -p 8087:80 -p 5222:5222 -p 7443:443 \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/CommunityServer/data:/var/www/onlyoffice/Data \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/CommunityServer/mysql:/var/lib/mysql \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/CommunityServer/logs:/var/log/onlyoffice \
    -v /app/onlyoffice/DocumentServer/data:/var/www/onlyoffice/DocumentServerData \
    -e DOCUMENT_SERVER_PORT_80_TCP_ADDR=onlyoffice-document-server \
    -e MAIL_SERVER_DB_HOST=onlyoffice-mail-server \

Unfortunately transferring Document Server's port to different port is impossible for now and this applies only to docker version. We will do our best to add this feature to the next versions, but custom ports forwarding will not work at the moment. If you can't use for some reason another server for OnlyOffice you can install Linux version of Community Server, Document Server and transfer required ports.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I've tried to install the packages, but for some reason it doesn't seem to recognize MariaDB as a replacement for MySQL and it says:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
onlyoffice-communityserver : Depends: mysql-server but it is not going to be installed
Depends: mysql-client
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
