Following these instructions on Ubuntu 14 everything works great but after a few days the CPU / Container spike to an unusable level. a restart allows the system to come back online

Hello,

Please try to re-start Docker container and specify the exact moment the issue appears.

Hi,

same problem here.
We have a server with 24CPU and 64GO RAM, and after few days CPU / Container spike to an unusable level.
We had to restart containers to come back online.

we don't know the exact moment when this happened

thanks for your help,
Yoann

Sorry to say that after a clean install of both the OS (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS) and the Docker images using the procedures outlined here:

https://helpcenter.onlyoffice.com/de/se ... ation.aspx
https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/Docker-Co ... il-servers

I am still seeing the problem after a day or so. I can often 'punch' through the problem by cancelling and restarting the page request in the browser but by day 3 the server is inaccessible.

I restarted the server a day ago and am already seeing the issue. I will record when the server becomes totally unusable.

After 48 hours I have all four (4) cores running at about 400%.

Restart the containers and all is well again.

We are sorry for the inconveniences!

We detected the issue and our developers are working on it. As soon as it is fixed the bugfix will be included into the installation.

Eugenie,

Thank you for your reply and support. "Knock On Wood" since my last restart I have yet to have the issue return. I know a have a few users working within the platform so I don't know if this is something users trigger or just a application performance issue/bug. I appreciate the update you have located the potential issue. If I can be of any assistance I will try to still provide helpful information.

The site hub.docker.com shows onlyoffice/documentserver uploaded two days ago.

https://hub.docker.com/r/onlyoffice/documentserver/

Is that the fix?

Any updates here? Was trying to run a set of docker images using a shellscript... but after opening the machine in a browser the 2 available CPUs inside my virtual box image quickly rise to 100%.... and they get stuck there... also after closing the browser.

This is my script:

I use my linux image for a whole lot of other stuff.... I am able to reach the community server at port 8089... but the install stalls sooner or later...

Also: is it possible to run this without the mail server?

Code: Select all
sudo docker network create --driver bridge onlyoffice

sudo docker run --net onlyoffice --name friendoo-document-server -i -t -d -p 8090:80 \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/DocumentServer/cache:/var/lib/onlyoffice/documentserver/App_Data/cache/files  \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/DocumentServer/logs:/var/log/onlyoffice  \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/DocumentServer/data:/var/www/onlyoffice/Data  onlyoffice/documentserver

sudo docker run --net onlyoffice --privileged -i -t -d --name onlyoffice-mail-server \
    -p 8025:25 -p 8143:143 -p 8587:587 \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/MailServer/data:/var/vmail \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/MailServer/data/certs:/etc/pki/tls/mailserver \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/MailServer/logs:/var/log \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/MailServer/mysql:/var/lib/mysql \
    -h localfriend.local \
    onlyoffice/mailserver

sudo docker run --net onlyoffice -i -t -d --name friendoo-community-server \
    -p 8089:80 -p 5222:5222 -p 8043:443 \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/CommunityServer/data:/var/www/onlyoffice/Data \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/CommunityServer/mysql:/var/lib/mysql \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/CommunityServer/logs:/var/log/onlyoffice \
    -v /media/onlyoffice/DocumentServer/data:/var/www/onlyoffice/DocumentServerData \
    -e DOCUMENT_SERVER_PORT_80_TCP_ADDR=friendoo-document-server \
    -e MAIL_SERVER_DB_HOST=onlyoffice-mail-server \
    onlyoffice/communityserver
