"Unknown Error" when I try to open a document

Postby eMarcus » Fri Aug 18, 2017 9:48 am

HI,

Whenever I try to open a document, I get an unknown error windows and can only click ok to close it again. Tough I can download the document, so it seems not to be a problem of the document itself or access to it.

Can anyone give me a hint how to debug this?

My setup:

latest docker containers (document server and community server) behind the famous nginx-proxy container. I can access the community server without problems. When I try to open a document, the editor seems to fire up, but the document is never loaded (see screenshot).

any help appreciated!

MArcus.

got some more information. When I check the nginx.error.log of the document server, I see the following entry:

Code: Select all
2017/08/20 09:50:00 [crit] 431#0: *157 connect() to [::1]:8000 failed (99: Cannot assign requested address) while connecting to upstream, client: 172.19.0.7, server: , request: "GET /doc/XGrWYo4Nlz0GysRN3EI_/c/970/pmpmxuoh/websocket HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://[::1]:8000/doc/XGrWYo4Nlz0GysRN3EI_/c/970/pmpmxuoh/websocket", host: "office.erber.biz"

It seems that the document server tries to open a connection to the community server (?) via IPv6? on Port 8000. As long as it would use the docker container name, that should work, however, when it tries to use the external hostname of the community server, this must fail as there are no port forwards set.

Probably my interpretation is totally wrong, but I am still struggling to find the error.

Thanks
Marcus.

Hello Marcus,

Could you please specify the following for us to detect the issue:

- How did you install the solution and with what parameters:

1) using our installation script;

2) every container was installed separately.

We would recommend you to install the product using the script.

Hello,

I have encountered exactly the same issue. For your information as you mention in the last comment of this issue, I installed onlyoffice in my local machine and installed document server for my local server using the official guide ==> http://helpcenter.onlyoffice.com/server ... ation.aspx.

I tried to solve the problem but in vain. I checked the nginx.error.log and it shows the following content

2017/10/20 11:48:49 [error] 961#961: *653 open() "/var/www/onlyoffice/documentserver/web-apps/apps/documenteditor/main/http, http:/localhost:9191, localhost:9191/cache/files/2802574416/Editor.bin/Editor.bin" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: "GET /2017-08-11-08-40/web-apps/apps/documenteditor/main/http,%20http://localhost:9191,%20localhost:9191/cache/files/2802574416/Editor.bin/Editor.bin?md5=TOPDyJZQkEHiI_LhT9uqdg==&expires=1511106529&disposition=attachment&ooname=output.bin HTTP/1.1", host: "localhost:9191", referrer: "http://localhost:9191/2017-08-11-08-40/web-apps/apps/documenteditor/main/index.html?_dc=2017-08-11-08-40&lang=en&customer=ONLYOFFICE&frameEditorId=iframeEditor"

Any help would be appreciated .... Thanks in advance
