Installation Issue with Community Server and Document Server

Questions/problems on Docker

I said, I am able to access the community server portal, work on projects, TALK etc from other machines on the network.
I am only not able to open the Documents. When I click on the sample document (say spreadsheet, presentation etc), it takes about a two minutes.
And then it shows the error "ONLYOFFICE IS NOT AVAILABLE. Contact...

If it would have been a network issue, then the community portal itself would have been unavailable.

Actually you're not right!
I am able to access the community server portal, work on projects, TALK etc from other machines on the network

Because these modules work on the Community Server and you can get access to the Community Server, but when you try to open a document ("..click on the sample document..") you get ONLYOFFICE IS NOT AVAILABLE because at this step works Document Server which is not accessible. What do you get if you try to run wget?

I got one PC again running ubuntu 16.04.
I connected both the PCs (onlyoffice PC) and client PC to a standalone switch.
I gave onlyoffice PC ethernet port IP 192.168.10.2 and client PC as 192.168.10.3.
I then accessed community server from client PC by putting http://192.168.10.2

I was able to access the community portal and login.
I then went to documents and tried to access the sample document.

It is here again, when I get the ONLY OFFICE IS NOT AVAILABLE error window.
Now ,here there is no network. Just two PCs connected to a simple unmanaged switch ( so no issues with switch too).
Help is solicited please.

The connecting machine is an Android mobile on WiFi. The Server Laptop is also connected on WiFi. The Android mobile has a portable hotspot on which the server laptop connects for access to Internet. So when the DHCP server on android mobile has allocated 192.168.43.116 to the laptop. Now using this mobile phone, if I access the laptop using http://192.168.43.116 on WiFi, it accesses the community server.

Now to try running above wget command on mobile terminal, it successfully shows the following

Connecting to 192.168.43.116(192.168.43.116:80)
api.js 100% 26052 0.00.00 ETA

To add to the above, when I put http://192.168.43.116/web-apps/apps/api ... nts/api.js in the web browser of the mobile, it return me the following

404 Not Found
nginx

I thought, maybe the WiFi may be creating issues. So I rigged up a simple standalone network.

Hello ic57369k!
The Document Server is not accessible. Please specify what instruction did you follow to install Onlyoffice? I need to understand your installation.
The error
Code: Select all
404 Not Found
nginx

shows that there is no a document server or nginx for some reason do not know about this server.

I installed onlyoffice using the provided script as advised by you ine earlier posts. Here is the page I followed exactly as specified
http://helpcenter.onlyoffice.com/server ... ation.aspx

I can access the document server from the same machine but not from other machines. But I can access the community portal from all machines on the network. That means there is no network issue. Also, just to test, I rigged up a single two computer network. Then also, the document server is not working.

Help solicited.

Now i can access documents from the same machine on which the servers are installed, but cant access from other machines on the network through the web browser.

You should check your network configuration. In your case requests from user's browser cannot get access to the Document Server.
