Mail server using Docker : Connection refused

Postby Zegorax » Sat Mar 25, 2017 12:54 pm

Hello everyone !

I set up a server using the Docker installation script (opensource-install.sh) and I'm unable to send any mail using my domain. Every DNS record is correct.
The server has 10GB RAM, 4 CPU's, and 250GB of storage.

It seems like the Community Server try to access MailServer via 143, but it doesn't work.

Here's the logs from mail.agg.log :

Code: Select all
2017-03-25 12:53:00,283 DEBUG Mbox_1              : MailClient.LoginImapPop(Tenant = 1, MailboxId = 1 Address = 'l@b.ch')

Can you help me to resolve this please ?

Thank you very much!

Hello Zegorax!
Code: Select all
2017-03-25 12:53:00,312 ERROR Mbox_1              : CreateTasks->client.LoginImapPop(Tenant = 1, MailboxId = 1, Address = 'l@b.ch')
Exception: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): Connection refused

Mail service cannot connect to your IMAP server.
I suppose you should check your configuration and sccessibility to IMAP server.

Hello !

Thank's for your reply. All my ports are opened, but it's not working. I think the docker container is not using it at all, it doesn't forward it. (Not like the others. Example : 0.0.0.0:25-->25)

What can I do ?

On my OO server i tried to reproduce your issue but have no luck, i added mail account in "Mail" section of Community Server and connected to my email account without any troubles.
Try to reintsall Community Edition or Enterprise, it depends on what you installed before. But before intsallation delete your old container, delete old sh script and install again.
Code: Select all
bash opensource-install.sh -ics true -ids true -ims false -es true

Community Edition (Community and Document servers only)

Okay, I'll restore a fresh Ubuntu Server and try again. But I tried more than 3 times. I don't know if it will change anything

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention something :

I'm trying to create a mail server, not connecting to an existing account like Gmail.
I'm trying to user Onlyoffice Mail Server, but it doesn't work.

I'll try to re-install anyway and see if that changes.

Do you install OnlyOffice Community Edition (Community, Document and Mail Server)?
Do NOT forget to install with your domain!
Code: Select all
bash opensource-install.sh -md "yourdomain.com"

Yes, it is the Community Edition using the provided script.

I ran the same command as yours, changing the domain of course.

I re-installed from scratch, and it is still not working, there's the same error as above.

Zegorax
You should execute a script which will help us to understand the issue. I advise you to send me results with private message.
You should enter the Community Server container
Code: Select all
docker attach [ID community server]

connect to MySQL
Code: Select all
mysql -u root

and execute script
Code: Select all
use onlyoffice;

SET @smtpId = (SELECT t.smtp_settings_id FROM mail_server_server t limit 1);
SET @imapId = (SELECT t.imap_settings_id FROM mail_server_server t limit 1);
SELECT * FROM mail_server_server t limit 1;SELECT * from mail_mailbox_server t WHERE t.id in (@smtpId, @imapId);

exit;

and send us results please.
