Hello noel cris!
1 Do you use community edition or what....?
2 What instruction did you use to install?
3 There is no connection between community server and document server

Here is the setup:
I install the onlyoffice docker version (doc+mail+server) behind a router having a class C network (192.168.1.10) . The router has a public static ip (122.xxx.xxx.xxx).
I connect to the onlyoffice server via port forwarding.
if I access the office server directly from within the lan everything is OK.
if I access from the wan (122.xxx.xxx.xxx:8081) All apps run EXCEPT the document editor (I suspect the document converter) and will pop the "Only office not available"
if I access from the wan (122.xxx.xxx.xxx) All apps run. No problem.
Question 1:
Can the docker onlyoffice community version run in different ports? This is important because there are other hosts behind this router.
Question 2:
How do I successfully install the mail server when there is no control panel? The tutorial mentions the control panel which is not there.
The instructions to setup the mail server has missing steps.
Question 3:
If I install the 3 components separately using docker run how do I set the server to run automatically when the system starts without losing the previous data?

Question 1: No, 80 and 443 ports only. "Onlyoffice is not available" means that Document Server(DS) cannot communicate with Community Server(CS). When you're trying to open a doc in your browser (at this moment browser communicates with Community Server, also browser need to communicate with DC, because DC works on your document, but for some reason there is no connection with DC and browser doesn't get requests from DC) and your browser cannot communicate with DC this error appears.
The reason could be firewall stoping 80 port, wrong port forwarding or smth. else which stops accessibility to DC.
Question 2: Community Edition consists of Community Server, Document Server and Mail Server. There is no need to use Control panel because it's open source product. But if you use Enterprise Edition (paid version) there is Control Panel which helps you to manage OnlyOffice more comfortable.
Question 3: Why separately? You can install on one machine. We use Docker technology exactly by reason of possibility to install three servers one on machine.
Code: Select all
bash opensource-install.sh

Community Edition
Code: Select all
bash enterprise-install.sh -h

Enterprise Edition

Hello noel cris!
1 Separate Onlyoffice servers (Document Server and Community Servers)
2 Try to configure the DMZ Host on the router. Assign your internal ip of Onlyoffice to DMZ host on the router.
3 In some cases when it needs to configure proxy server you should configure header forwarding.
The point is that Document Server must communicate with your browser (when you try to access to Onlyoffice from the internet) with no problem.

Hi Maxim,
The instructions in the link you gave is confusing to me since it is for linux. All the while in my previous posts I was saying that my installation is for docker.
To simplify matters how should I setup my docker installation if I access the community server from the internet using a domain.
Suppose my domain is: mydomain.com
my local address is 192.168.1.20

I access the the community server with

http://mydomain.com/

1. what should be the entry for
http://documentserver-localaddress/ConvertService.ashx
http://documentserver-localaddress/FileUploader.ashx
http://documentserver-localaddress/coau ... rvice.ashx
http://documentserver-publicaddress/web ... nts/api.js
http://communityserver-localaddress/ -- cannot understand this since i access the community server from the internet.

to get the document editor running

2. Should the document server be tied up to the domain name?
If so how do I connect to the community server since I only have one (1) domain name ?
3. Should I use another IP address say 192.168.1.21 for the document server?

4. Is there a "right out of the box" installation of onlyoffice community server and all components running in the internet without tweaking?
I hope you understand my post.
Thanks a lot.
