Activation emails stopped working - reboot resolves issue??

Hi there,

This used to work fine.... today I wanted to change the email address of the Portal administrator and discovered that OnlyOffice no longer is sending activation emails.

I see the green pop up box saying that the email has been sent successfully but I don't see email arriving in my mailbox (nor do I see a mail delivery attempt from OnlyOffice on the mail server).

The Send Test Mail button in SMTP settings works fine however, I see the test email appearing in my mailbox straight away.

I do see this in web.api.log:

2018-06-19 18:09:30,450 ERROR [Thread Pool Worker] ASC.Api - method error: http://127.0.0.1/api/2.0/mailserver/dom ... ?__=946543 - Server error
System.IO.InvalidDataException: No mail servers registered.

I am not using the OnlyOffice Mail Server but am using an existing IMAP/SMTP server and assume this error is just indicative of that fact. Also when I click the link "Activate the email again" I don't see anything added to web.api.log nor do I see a (time) matching other log file, ie. no other log file seem to be updated at the time I try to resend the activation email.

Not knowing what else I rebooted the server and sure thing, email activation emails where delivered.

Any suggestions how I can further debug this?

Please specify Onlyoffice is installed in Docker, RPM/DEB or for Windows...

Hi Maxim,

Thanks for your reply; I'll try that next time it happens.

However I might not discover this in a timely fashion. Would you suggest to restart the onlyOfficeNotify service periodically?

Do you have pointers to help me discover the cause for this?

Hello jbakuwel!
I would advise you to look through logs because it's not clear where the reason is.
If it the issue repeats try to restart onlyofficeNotify service first of all just to be sure that the problem is connected with this service.
Would you suggest to restart the onlyOfficeNotify service periodically?

No, there is no need.
