Try the fastest and simplest way to install ONLYOFFICE

unable to access remotely

Issues during installation and related to database

unable to access remotely

Postby ryanak » Sun Feb 12, 2017 12:27 am

I have OnlyOffice Community Server and OnlyOffice Document Server installed on 2 separate Debian 8 64bit systems. I performed the installation through the .deb packages. This system runs without issue on my LAN. When I attempt to gain access from a remote location, I get a 403 Forbidden error.

I have confirmed that my network firewall is allowing ports 80 and 443 to my Community Server. I have confirmed that all DNS information is correct. I am new to Linux, but this application is a driving reason for me to learn it.

I followed the installation instructions provided at
http://helpcenter.onlyoffice.com/server ... ation.aspx
and
http://helpcenter.onlyoffice.com/server ... lingDebian

I am thinking it has something to do with iptables on Debian, but I am new to this; so I am unsure.
Please let me know what additional details are needed to help resolve this issue.

Hello ryanak!
1 Try to check (just to be sure) ports on both servers
Code: Select all
netstat -a | egrep 'Proto|LISTEN'
or
Code: Select all
netstat -pln

2 Try to disable firewall on both servers (just in case)
Code: Select all
systemctl disable firewalld.service
or
Code: Select all
systemctl stop firewalld.service
