Hi,
I uploaded a .doc file with some macros in it. After editing i downloaded the file and observed that the macros were missing. Is there a way to stop this loss?

Hello NI3!
Unfortunately there is no way. We cannot execute visual basic in browser ;) .

Hi, I guess his question is about being destructive, not about running the macro.
And I was wondering the same.

Even though the browser cannot execute VB, there should be no reason to REMOVE the macro from the document right?
It should stay there so it can be executed when using a desktop version later.

There could be other ways of executing VB as well (cross-compiling to JS for example).

Is there a way to make it non-destructive?
So it won't delete the macro contents from the file?

Also, can we do macros in some other language? (JS?)

Hello tavinus!

Yes and macros support is on testing period now.
I hope we will implement it into Onlyoffice Document Server soon.
